USB has a data rate of 12 Mbps per second. Of that bandwidth only up to 6 Mbps can be used by one USB device. Ethernet connects directly to the computer's bus. Depending on your Ethernet card it accepts 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps. I'd go w/Ethernet myself.
