Hi

We run this config and had problems with the machine spewing "disk errors" and stopping .. I turned off RAID and run a split SCSI backplane config now.. much faster and very reliable

Hi Chris

I have a bunch of different Dell servers all running RHEL 3, running nice and smooth, no hiccups whatsoever
A few 2650's, 2600's, and 1750's

Running RAC with 9.2.0.6, with about a TB worth of DB's

All the servers came with the PERC 4, It sucks. But I tried a few different raid controllers on RHEL, they were all pretty bad

My advice get a SAN, and with RHEL 3 it super easy to boot from san, diskless servers.
Eliminate the PERC and megaraid all together.
