In the Keats, it's actually the Urn who says this to the poetic narrator. An object out of time, like an artifact from Yeats's Byzantium or like a gravestone in Gray's Elegy. Perhaps one of those tombstone markers translated in _The Greek Anthology_. Inanimate advice. Suspect. Detached. Ever-resounding. Distant. Perhaps not to be trusted. Perhaps fraught with the wisdom of ages.
