Indeed. And you would very likely be spamming some unsuspecting third
party. Remember, sender addresses on spam are often forged these days.

I haven't looked at !MDM, but if it doesn't do some very clever
processing to locate the real culprit, I would advise against using it.

Some time ago I received hundreds of bounce mails for an address which I
have never used. Obviously some spammer had sent out a spamrun with this
address in the From: field and hundreds of brain dead servers were
informing me that the email couldn't be delivered. Nice.

With regard to the spam problem you mentioned in your first message in
this thread: it's happening here as well. And not only on this list.

When the AntiSpam list moved to FreeLists, I subscribed to it with a
brand new address. It has only ever been used on that list and in
private correspondence with a couple of AntiSpam users. And now it's
catching at least half a dozen spam messages a day. So whoever is using
an infected Windows PC to read this list's mail, may very well be on
that list as well (whoever you are, mate, you're not making friends in
the RISC OS community...).
