They used servers only where it was obvious and necessary to use severs, that means mainly because
of the advantages of servers I added to your list (management of exclusive (= limited) resources -
e.g. a printer).
So *check* BeOS's servers - *most* of them manage exclusive resources!
Don't tell me you honestly insist on your point of view. :-(
