Hi all, We have a locally developed solution that is based on Ghost 2003. It consists of a 2CD set that will support most local peripherals and practically all network interfaces we have had in the past in I/A Series boxes including the Intel 1000 gigabit adapters. Backups can be done to a centralized server (Windows or Linux with Samba) reducing configuration work to a minimum. The bonus is that the CD's supports (or at least should support) all 70 Series boxes around (NT/XP/Some Server), booting from CD's is fast (boot floppy supplied in case no CD-boot), NO installation on the I/A Series platform is required and the backups can be managed on the server which can be part of your standard IT infrastructure. It started of as a tool for our Service group and was developed further for Shell. Please note that this is a locally supported product which is built around a Ghost standard product. If anyone is interested you know how to reach me. I apologise for the "commercial nature" of this response. Best regards, Ron Deen Business Development Manager Invensys Systems N.V. How do you backup your Foxboro/Dell workstations? Is anybody using Ghost to create images on CD, DVD, second HDD or to a network server? Has anybody installed a SCSI or FireWire PCI card, and used an external tape drive? Or installed an internal Tape Drive? -Regards, Brian Bates. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Confidentiality Message This e-mail message is confidential and is intended for the exclusive use of the addressee.
