Anyway, what counts is if the "All xxxx active" buttons are ticked in the three sections and whatever data is entered in them.
My mistake - they are ... and I have copied across !Fonts.csc from one computer to the other, so the font mappings should be the same on both. But I'm still getting a list of fonts (on the Vista laptop) that are not present in the document or (AFAICT) in Windows>Fonts.
