That's a good price, but I believe the one I bought for $99 (After rebate) had an 8MB cache. Both would be good replacements though. -----Original Message----- From: Cuffy10@xxxxxxx [mailto:Cuffy10@xxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, June 10, 2004 12:45 PM To: computertalkshop@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [CTS] Re: Spinrite In a message dated 6/10/04 9:23:18 AM Pacific Daylight Time, Jack.Owens@xxxxxxx writes: Best Buy had a Seagate 120gig , 7200 RPM HD for $99 (After rebate). Seagate drives come with a CD that you can boot from that will step you through the whole format, master/slave, copy process. The hardest part of the installation is getting the jumpers on/off with my big fat fingers. Simplest drive replacement I have ever done. There's one on Pricewatch for under $89 but it seemed too good to be true. Deals like that makes me nervous. <http://www.pricewatch.com/ri/T3949709-1918.GIF> Seagate <http://www.seagate.com/> - - SEAGATE 120GB 7200RPM EIDE HDD ST3120022A 2MB CACHE ATA-100 120.0GB READY TOSHIP Details: -120.0GB 7200RPM EIDE HDD ST3120022A 2MB Cache Buffer ATA-100 (New Original Sealed)mfg warranty Part - -ST3120026A Updated - 6/8, 10:17 AM Total - $86.95 Price - $82 Shipping - $4.95 FedEx 3 Days Air Will Ship - 1-2 days ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Education is when you read the fine print.
