As cheap as IDE drives are anymore for the capacity vs the price they want
it makes more sense to just replace a drive that is problematic rather than
feeble attempts at repair of soemthing that is likely to have a hardware
failure soon - sort of like getting a diagnostic and tune up for an engine
with 150,000 miles when you know the engine is just worn out and needs a
rebuild or replacment.
