Hi, Evan. I've found that more publishers are taking shortcuts with printing these days, doing things like splitting words between pages and even between lines. I think it looks sloppy and used to blame my OCR software. I've had my dad look at some of the books I've scanned, and he confirmed that the text is split in the print book. I've noticed it happening more and more by certain publishers and with mass market paperbacks. Kurzweil can fix the split words from line to line, and I'm grateful for that. I wish Openbook had such a feature. More than that, I wish publishers wouldn't split words to begin with.
