Tom,

As far as I know, Bookshare's never considered limiting the number of times
that book can be renewed. As you've no doubt realized from the replies to
your query, not only does that have its disadvantages, but as you can tell
it probably wouldn't be received well by many volunteers. I understand your
frustration over the issue, but according to one of your responses about
your Dreamland books, it sounds like your particular problem is due to not
receiving or overlooking some rejection messages rather than your books
still being out for validation. Since that volunteer mentioned problems
with page breaks, why don't you take another look at the files you
submitted, fix any problems you can find with page breaks, then resubmit the
books. If you neglected to keep a copy of the files, then you could explain
the problem to Gustavo and ask him to kick the rejected books back to the
Step 1 page to allow you to fix the page break problem since Bookshare
archives all of the files that they receive.

Gerald, A second thought, Has Bookshare ever decided to limet the number of
edit renewals allowed? It would seem that after a reasonable period, the
book should be returned to the step-one Q. Tom

  Tom,

Janice has said that it's been a bit of a mad house around there since
back in December due to anual end of the year tasks and getting things
backunder control since the holidays. Once things calm down a bit I would
imagine that Gustavo will whittle down the Awaiting Admin Approval queue.
As for if he ever gets to the bottom, I believe he did that two or three
times last year and ended up sending out a message that he had nothing to
approve.

Hi Everyone, been laying low for a while. But I have a question, do you
think Gustavo will ever get to the bottom of the administrative Q? Still
have books sitting there from September, and my Dreamland series by Dale
Brown has-never been found apparently, lost, "lost beneath the streets of
Boston," their fate never to be learned, as the song goes. The answers I
get are vague, that the books are out being edited, since May or June? Tom
