Yes, it will, but what you said previously was....

That is true _only_ in one specific case, that is if the
HomePage is set to point to desktop.

No, I don't believe that is what I said at all.

It can be confusing. I'll try to explain it as I see it.

The generic term "homepage" refers to any internet page that
someone wants to consider as his main page, usually the entry
page to his site. It often has the name "index.htm" or
"default.htm".

When you visit some internet site and you see a button labelled
"Home", the page that this button takes you to is the homepage
of the owner of the site. Move the mouse cursor over the button,
but don't click, and you will see the URL in Arachne's status
line at the bottom of the page.

But within the Arachne program, HomePage is a name used to refer
to whatever URL is specified in the configuration file.

It is not really the homepage for anyone or anything. It is just
called that for convenience because originally it pointed to the
Arachne.cz homepage.

Traditionally that is left as the default setting for a new
installation of Arachne.

HomePage can be whatever you want to set it for. It is the page
that is called by
   (a) pressing Alt-F1
   (b) clicking on the little house icon in the toolbar or
   (c) clicking on the Homepage icon in the desktop.
