All station names spoken in full except for when new stations are added
for which there is no voice tag recorded in which case the set default
to spelling out the station name. I've had my set for about 6 months and
so far this effects only one station. It's a minor niggle but a better
solution than for example the netgem freeview box which simply announces
unknown channel or similar for stations for which there is no voice tag
onboard. To be fair I don't update my box often enough so not sure how
quick netgem are at updating firmware with channel voice tags when new
stations are added, EG are there tags for the more 4 channels yet? And
on another minor niggle it would be nice of the plus 1 suffix were
announed on e4=1. guess the speech stops when it reaches a simbol for
which there is no voice tag as part of a channel name and that there is
no "plus" tag.

am I right in thinking that the pure radio doesn't speak out the name of
the radio stations in full but spells it out letter by letter? If so,
isn't that a less than satisfactory user experience?

Thanks
