Yes ok, but what if for some reason after installing a video driver update, the chain with JFW doesn't work? Using a hot key with Quickmix can't bring it back, because the old driver is affectively uninstalled! - Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Douglas Harrison" <harrison1d@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, February 16, 2008 4:29 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Help with drivers please | Andy, | If I may come in here, it is possible to set up a hot key which will run Quickmix and restore | previously saved volume control settings. Where sound is too low to make adjustments | using the screen reader prompts, Quickmix can sometimes bring the sound back to normal | level. I have found it useful on several occasions, but at present it does not seem to have | been made compatible with Vista. | | Douglas | On 16 Feb 2008 at 15:53, Andy Collins wrote: | | > Thanks Jackie, it seems from what Carol says, that this won't help if JFW | > comes up mute after upgrading video drivers - | > | > | | -- | | Douglas Harrison | | ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- | ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] | ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: | ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx | ** and in the Subject line type | ** unsubscribe | ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the | ** immediately-following link:- | ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] | ** or send a message, to | ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq | | | -- | This email has been verified as Virus free. | Virus Protection and more available at http://www.plus.net ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
