Hi Tony,

I think  there  maybe a bit of confusion  on both  sides here.

As Darragh explained  Nokia TTS  is symply  a means  of producing synthetic
speech. However,  it can't do this  on its own,  it needs to be made to do
this by a software package such as Talks  or the other built-in  Nokia
packages.

the built-in Nokia  packages are simply  very basic  applications for
sighted people to use ... They are in no way a "real"  screen reader  in the
way visually impaired people would be used to.

I'm afraid  that you will need to buy another Talks  or  similar screen
reader for your phone in order to get any benefit from Nokia TTS.

I don't know where you got the idea that I wrote that Talks was competing
with Nokia?

Perhaps I may have been a little tongue and cheek in my mail!

So Nokia TTS is really of no use without Talks I think you are saying?

Anyway I will leave the subject now as I feel that I'm being misunderstood
and misrepresented!
