It synchronizes rendering of the emulated Amiga display to the refresh rate of
your monitor. The point of this is to get flicker-free screen update.

There are various problems in trying to do this, including broken support for
doing this kind of thing in various graphics platforms and/or drivers, and
the fact that virtually nobody has a monitor with 50Hz vertical refresh rate
these days.

the recommended way to get 50fps from WinUAE is to run it into a
(nonmirrored) TV-out display onto a TV. Wonder if getting a tvout
adapter for osx would provide the same...
