Due to the rain and the recent draining of some ponds, there is currently
a lot of good shorebird habitat at Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery at Clinton,
Anderson County. Shortly after noon today I observed, among other species:
Great Egret - 1
Killdeer - 35
Lesser Yellowlegs - 9, very flighty
Pectoral Sandpiper - 1
Least Sandpiper - 35, a lot of variation in their plumage
