A Cape May Warbler was a wonderful find at Hornsby Bend on 1/31.  The young
male bird was beautifully photographed near the Hergotz River Crossing.

Red-throated Loon at Stillhouse Hollow Lake- Union Grove WMA was seen again
1/25 (Bell)

A Warbling Vireo at Bell County's Stillhouse Road Reservoir on Simmons Road
is a terrific winter bird in the area.  Reported on 1/31..

Lesser Black-backed Gull continues to be viewed from Blue Goose Road at the
Austin landfill.  The bird occasionally comes to the detention pond seen
from the shoulder of Blue Goose Road.  Latest updates 1/25,30. (Travis)

A White-winged Scoter was photographed at Canyon Lake in Comal County.
 Bird seen from Comal Park 1/25.

A Long-tailed Duck has been reliable at Inks Lake National Fishery.  Latest
information 1/25,26 in Burnet County.

Two Calliope Hummingbirds have been intermittently photographed at an
Austin residence the last few weeks, with one seen 1/29 in Travis County.

A Harris's Hawk is concentrating its time near Berry Springs Park and
I-35/TX 130 intersection.  The Williamson County rarity has been
photographed and latest reports 1/21,25,26, 31.

Red-naped Sapsucker was viewed in northeastern Travis County on Carlson
lane on 1/25.

I need to get the map out to see if a Guadalupe County Black Phoebe is just
inside the circle or not.   The bird was photographed on 1/26 from
Guadalupe County Road 417.

Juvenile Ferruginous Hawk seen again in Williamson County near Granger Lake
on FM971 and CR352.

2 Ferrruginous Hawks were described near Highway 71  and Highway 21 in
Bastrop County on 1/31.

At least 2 Tree Swallows were seen at the Pine Forest golf course on
Riverside along the Colorado River in Bastrop County on 1/26.

An Ash-throated Flycatcher was at the Colorado River Refuge near Tahitian
Village in Bastrop County 1/26.

Ash-throated Flycatcher continues on CR362 in the Granger Lake area of
Williamson County 1/25.

Reports for the Austin area RBA cover a 60 mile radius, centered from the
Capitol in downtown Austin. Bird sightings mentioned here have been
filtered and scrutinized by the compiler and are believed to be genuine.
When documentation or photographs were provided that is mentioned, along
with the other information about the bird(s) being seen.  For questions or
