This is the Austin Area Rare Bird Alert. This update is as of 4/23/2015.
Send interesting sightings, complete with species name, location, and

-Rarities found this week-

A BLUE-WINGED WARBLER was seen at Barton Creek Wilderness area, *Travis*,
4/18.

A KENTUCKY WARBLER was seen near Manor, *Travis*, 4/18.

HUTTON'S VIREOS were reported from TAS Baker Sanctuary, *Travis*, 4/18,
Balcones Canyonlands NWR, *Travis*, 4/21, and Warbler Woods, *Guadalupe*,
4/19.

YELLOW-THROATED WARBLERS were reported from Lago Vista, *Travis*, 4/21 and
Nalle Bunny Run (private access), *Travis*, 4/18.

PYRRHULOXIAS were reported from Sheffield Northwest Park, *Travis*, 4/19
and western *Travis*, near Pace Bend Park, 4/18.

A BUFF-BELLIED HUMMINGBIRD was seen at Warbler Woods, *Guadalupe*, 4/21.

AN EASTERN TOWHEE was reported from Warbler Woods, *Guadalupe*, 4/19.

A LE CONTE'S SPARROW was late at Balcones Canyonlands NWR, *Burnet, *4/19.

-Continuing birds from previous weeks-

A GREAT KISKADEE continued at Berry Springs Park in Georgetown, *Williamson*,
4/20.

A RED-HEADED WOODPECKER continued on Arbuckle Rd. near Bastrop SP, *Bastrop*,
4/18.

At least one, and maybe two YELLOW-THROATED WARBLERS continued at Commons
Ford, *Travis*, 4/18.

Reports for the Austin area RBA cover a 60 mile radius, centered on the
Capitol in downtown Austin. Bird sightings mentioned here have been
filtered and scrutinized by the compiler and are believed to be genuine.
