You must admit that it does soiund a bit like alchemy. The bad reputation
 he had tended to support that view.
When I first saw the 'scanner" advertized, I did some BBB and chamber of 
commerce
checking which stopped me right then and there.

Was it that he was a good engineer, but lousy businessman?
