Well Barbara, as you well know a friend of mine's phone which was sold on to
you was immediately upgraded without either theirs or Nuances permission.

Excuse me Barry? I do not know what you are talking about. And if you have a
problem with the way I conduct business I suggest you contact me personally
rather than airing your grievances on this list. I have never upgraded anyone's
license without their asking me to so would be very interested to know exactly
what you are refering to.

What a pitty Barbara Wilson didn't adhere to the TALKS LICENCING
RULES when she previously DID upgrade on someone's licence without theirs or
Nuances permission. As a so called RESELLER she shoud be completely aware of
the LICENCE AGREEMENT.

            Hi Pete,

Yes, you are right, you are selling the phone, not the Talks
licence. If you want to allow the customer to use your one cross-phone upgrade
on it, then you need to write to either a dealer or Nuance telling them that
you transfer the licence.

Alternatively, use your cross-phone upgrade to get a new phone,
before you sell it. Then you must make the customer aware that no further cross
phone upgrading is possible from this phone.

            All the best

            Steve

            Hi Carol

I have the N95 8GB so I have a rough idea of the phone your talking
about..... You can go into the memory under tools and format on the
phone or
format through the pc if you prefer.... Or as I said in my other
mail - just
update the firmware which will wipe and then re-install Talks and
restore
            registration.

With regards to cost there are a few things to remember....

            1. if selling to another VIP they need to be aware that they cannot
officially upgrade Talks because although it's locked to the phones
IMEI
number it is also registered to you (Steve will correct me if I'm
wrong on
this hopefully) although they may be able to upgrade later on by
paying a
£50 to a dealer - I'm not sure on this though.... Again Steve could
advise.

            2. personally if I sold my old phone I would at least look to cover
my Talks
cross phone fee of £50 but I have never sold a phone with Talks as
I just
gave my last one away to a blindy friend as it's case was a bit
battered
although it worked perfectly and fully up to date.... Ah how I miss
my old
            N91.... The memories...... :-)

            3. if not selling to a VIP then check out ebay for selling or
review a
recycle option? Check out www.moneysavingexpert.com for some great
mobile
            phone recycle links

            hope this helps

            Pete

            Hi all,

I'm always very reluctant to sell items, wanting to be sure I get
things
right for anyone purchasing and give a good price etc.

I'm thinking of selling my Nokia N95 which is one of the originals
which
            comes with a card.

First, what would be a reasonable price to ask? (I haven't
upgraded the
firmware, I'm afraid ...) I'd sell it with Talks 4 on though.

How do I erase everything from the phone that I have put on, or my
phone
providers have put on but don't destroy firmware and/or keep Talks
working?
(I do want to sell it on with a clean slate.)

Any advice would be most welcome.

            Thanks.
