I agree.  In fact, I think it would be a wonderful thing if multiple EDA 
tools utilizing IBIS-AMI models were able to show correlation to 
physical measurements of a complex reference channel with multiple 
identifiable defects, and sources of noise.    Cross-correlation of that 
channel to jitter and BER estimation related measurement instrumentation 
would also be a big plus.
