The data on all AKC activities get published every spring in the Gazette.
AND with exceptions of note, entries are going down everywhere...no
matter what you hear, that's the truth.
Performance is on the rise because the owner-handler is not at a
disadvantage and can do the job him or herself...and it doesn't take any
talent, just persistence......
Sad but true.
I also think that $600 for a weekend is nowhere near enough for a couple
to show a dog or two for two days......then again, I live on the east coast.
In some parts of the country, maybe you can do it for $600...but if you want
to eat, you can't do it here.
