I have three dogs in the house..one sleeps with me, the others only want to
sleep in their crates. Come 9 pm, they are driving me crazy, nudging, whining,
nagging, breathing on me heavily! Only going into their crates makes them
happy. Syd

Most experienced breeders and owners agree with you, Paulette.
Even with dogs loose and crate doors open, my dogs have always (for more
years than I want to admit to) headed for their crates when they want to
relax, to chew a bone, eat a cookie, or nap...
even my cats have always found sitting in an empty crate irresistible...and
I've had a couple who would pull the crate door shut after themselves!
Whenever I have a dog looking at me imploringly, with a dog cookie in its
jaws, bouncing around in front of its particular crate, I know what's
wrong...the cat's in there!
Nancy is wrong...but probably due to inexperience.
