Subject: Re: Movement vs temperament I head it first hand...Lamar said that. Actually, he said it in a few different ways. He'd say a spook showed better than a confident dog. In fact, we have it on tape somewhere... ******************************************************************************************************* That sure DOES sound like something HE would have said--what a ridiculous statement! The spooks DO try to get away--and they dig their feet in harder, giving the illusion of good movement. This is also what I detest about specialties--NOT that there are more spooks (than the all-breed shows), but that some of the dogs look like spooks with the double handling happening around them! Good movement or not--a spook will never live here. Without temperament (and health), you don't have a dog, as far as I'm concerned.
