This reminds me of one of the books Kent Boyles gave me as an assignment! It
was a really old book to read on structure and movement. He gave me others too
but this one was so interesting. It was about all breeds of dogs and was quite
technical. I think he just got tired of my questions LOL. I have enjoyed all
the recent post and ideas.

Many Pembroke Welsh Corgis have a noticeable period of suspension, too.
Actually, ANY balanced trot is a two-beat gait with a period of
suspension.........ask any horseman.
We humans ought to realize that, too...when we run or jog, WE have a
little period of suspension........that time when neither foot is on the
ground.........which is how I used to explain it
to my 4-H kids.........  They couldn't always see it,
but they could sure feel it..........!!
