 My dear Mrs. Grainger....Perhaps you are too new in the breed to have a full 
picture...and you obviously do not know who I am.....
  1.   I have no misunderstanding of Autoimmune Diseases...I have treated 
hundreds of cases in my 40 years of practice with show dogs. I have performed 
miracles in this area, bringing dogs back from literally the brink of death. 
Yes, 
I have a very vast knowledge in this area...I am however not on the line to 
do a symposium on Auto immune diseases.

  2. Immune deficiencies in the GSD are well known in then veterinary medical 
community...Most laymen are not familiar with these problems as the are NOT 
visible to the eye like most Autoimmune diseases. One of the most prominent 
deficiencies in the GSD, exists in the intestinal tract..The immune globulin 
lacking predisposes our dogs the Toxic Gut, Bloat and a host of diarrhea 
problems...Believe me the breed has plenty id immune problems...

  3.  I beg to differ with you with your interpretation of the spreading of 
Mycoplasma...It is indeed contagious..How do you think dogs become infected in 
the first place??They are not born with it as they are with Demodex.How do you 
think it spreads through a kennel...by respiratory contact..yes coughing dogs 
setting up an aerosol contagion. Dogs licking one another's lips etc..thats 
contagious. Most often it is not passed on as a STD...
