I like my rolleicord iv because it does not have that annoying light value shutter like the v and later cords. Instead of moving against the resistance of a myriad of little click stops, the shutter and aperture levers work freely with beautiful smoothness. The window for f-stops is slightly bigger as well.

The iv does have the double-exposure prevention interlock. It also has the old 1/50 and 1/100 second times, although you can set intermediate times - and why not, since there are no click stops on the shutter.

I never use a self timer, so I don't miss it. With the old shutter on the iv you can't go to 1/500 after cocking, but I never use 1/500 either. The ground glass screen is a bit dark unless you use a fresnel or have a spare beattie screen..

I got my iv from Jimmy Koh. No problems so far.

Rolleicord V and later models have selftimers, if that matters.
