My opinion is to add the CLA into the cost if you're buying from eBay, or use that to compare with buying a serviced camera from a dealer. Every twenty years of use warrants a CLA. $150 including shipping is what you should count on. I used Krimar and was very happy. I regret not having had a maxwell screen put in at the time, and you should consider that, focusing on the go is tough with the Rollei. The screen will cost another $125 or so.

I don't know about the Rolleicord, but I can recommend the Rolleiflex (2.8C) highly. Beautiful, sturdy, reliable, and precise.

Good luck,

Elias

I am thinking of buying a Rolleicord as a camera to travel with. I
shoot mostly black and white. From what I have read while lurking on
this list and elsewhere, I am leaning toward a IV or V. What are the
tradeoffs amongst these models?

Should I buy one which has already had a CLA (and if so, from whom?) or
buy from ebay and figure the cost of a CLA into the price?

Thanks,
