It depends about the point of view and your workflow, there is a price
difference between both versions, there are different ways to touch
your image data, goods and bads, the Standard version produces
excellent Tiff files with a few adjustments if necesary, the scanning
is quick and you have the image ready to use or almost ready to use
hardly the scanning has finished and you have significant control on
the process if you want. In fact the Standard version scan at RAW
format, it does not save for this format, but it saves for an
excellent Tiff (and for JPEG if you want it of course). BTW, the RAW
option is interesting.
