Depending on the business size and the power of the President, etc. it can be run like a monarchy or dictatorship. The better ones that have survived over the years are not. I too have worked for one where the President and CEO was a so full of himself no matter what anyone told him he ignored it and did what he wanted. I quit after 2 years.
