Well, no. The images are owned by the Himalaya Committee, formerly the Mount Everest Committee, a joint effort of the Royal Geographic Society (thank Younghusband for that involvement) and the Alpine Club (through the efforts of Captain Noell). But the Alpine Club is not set up to distribute the photographs, so the RGS has done so for the photographic records of every sanctioned British climb on Everest since the original Howard-Bury recon in 1921. But the proceeds are divided between the RGS and the Alpine Club. Both are a bunch of mercenary bastards. The RGS will even object to the reproduction of pictures no longer covered by copyright.

Just a teensie bit of trivia.
