Your cat might have a deficiency in its diet and is eating the prints to
acquire the deficient mineral.

I work in the Veterinary profession but I still don't understand cats'
taste
preferences.
Chances are it may be a taste for gelatin (an animal protein) and/or a
salty
taste left over from processing.
I prefer chromes with a bit of drawn butter myself, but to each his
own....
