Hi. PhoneGap is different. You simply develop the app using HTML5 and
JavaScript. Using JavaScript, you can access sensors, the camera, compass,
accelerometer, ETC. It is very accessible, and the apps pose no security
threats whatsoever. In fact, tuns of apps have been released to the App Store
and Android market using PhoneGap. It is really worth a look. If you don't want
to use PhoneGap Build then it is up to you to have the necessary hardware and
SDK's to compile the generated apps yourself. Your HTML5 and JavaScript are
transformed into native Objective-C code. You can access the local filesystem
or remote servers in your JavaScript as well. I'll say it again, it's
definitely worth a go at! HTH.
