Cristy, They didn't install it wrong, they sold you the wrong thing and then had you pay them to install it. There's a big difference in the two approaches to what happened. It won't matter how the older 3 sticks are installed since that 3rd stick prevents dual-channel mode anyway. Still, I'd put the 256MB sticks in 1&3 and the 512MB in slot 2, just to keep things neat. If they agree to redo the whole thing back to how it was, I wouldn't even bother telling them anything, especially if you have plans on buying your own 2GB and putting it in yourself.
