Yes, I mean Windows XP. This is the name of the operating system upon which everything else runs . No, you're not dumb. It's always been a problem that the entire computer industry has relied on far too many non-standard definitions for all of the terms they use. Even us folks who deal with computer issues every day get miffed at the problem of remembering what terms go with what items, devices, situation, etc. Give it time and you'll come to learn more and more of them with ease (especially if you spend time reading through different group conversations (threads) that cover different topics). :) As for continuing later, that's easy. I'll answer you as best I can and await your reply. If you're right there at your computer, you might answer within minutes. If you head off to dinner, it might take a couple of hours. If you want to hold off until tomorrow, I'll still be right here and ready to pick up where we left off whenever you esnd in your reply to this. I just try my best to handle whatever I receive in my Inbox as it comes in (unless I'm off doing other stuff, too). In other words, you don't need to ask me if we can continue some other time. However, I very much appreciate you letting me know not to expect a reply on this later tonight. If your entire point was just to let me know you wouldn't be replying again until tomorrow, ignore the rest of this paragraph. lol And since I've overly polluted this reply with stuff that doesn't answer your question, I'll go start a new reply to handle that separately. ;} Peace, Gman "The only dumb questions are the ones we fail to ask" ----- Original Message ----- From: "KayCee" <kaffco@xxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, January 31, 2009 7:26 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Internet Explorer > sorry to be so dumb but do you mean Windows XP? > Its way past my bedtime so can we continue tomorrow please. > Kathy --------------------------------------------------------------- Please remember to trim your replies (including this sentence and everything below it) and adjust the subject line as necessary.
