I just tried this thru control panel add printer. unplugged, installed from restore, rebooted, and still the set up wizard. the install didn't show up in the print dialogue when I went to print UNTIL I installed without the restore FROM the harddrive. I am getting dizzy with all of this..it't making me phhht but I want to fix this--IF possible..I must just be missing something simple. The thing I keep getting now is an ink error light. Once THAT turns off it will print one page..either it's nutz or I am.. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David F Wooledge" <wooledge001@xxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, February 16, 2004 1:35 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: HP problem Mary Lou, Have you un installed the printer either with the Printers part of Control Panel or with the Device Manager? Either place should let you start new with drivers for the printer. Diconnect the printer from the computer before restarting the computer or the Device manager will try to put make in the bad drivers. Install the drivers from the restore disk be fore plugging the printer back to the computer. Hope something works for you soon. My HP610CL refuses to print anything right now, so I know how frustrating this can be. Clicked on Troubleshooting and tried to correct the problem through it? There is a whole lot of useful information in it.
