well.... if my applicant does not already know that I'm interviewing him/her for an Oracle position (based on job posting and/or previous phone screen), then that would probably signify a problem. If I'm hiring for a SQL Server position then I would not be surprised. If I'm hiring for an Oracle position, I'd be surprised and a bit concerned. Also, If the candidate did indicate that dirty writes were allowed, I'd probably press forward and say, "Oh, really.... do elaborate on that a bit". Cheers! RF Robert G.
