I believe that by applying for displacement Ch. 55, regardless
of how tenuous the current Ch. 55 situation may be, they
achieved a "place holder" to receive a further displacement
channel when one becomes available after the transition.

BTW, let us know when Qualicom actually assumes physical
ownership of this channel. It's in my back yard and I'd like to
check it out, if in no other way than to measure the signal
strength, given that I won't have a receiver for that service.
