So, the same old problem with collusion between service providers and CE
manufacturers?

Since you bring up Apple, don't iPods now add an FM tuner? It's a little
remote device, daisy chained with the earplugs. So there's a precedent
for moving beyond the walled garden limits of the original iPods. I
don't see why DTV couldn't also become a feature, although for something
this size, I'd say M/H would be almost mandatory.
