Yup.

This is right up there with integrating an ATSC receiver in the TV, which is already outdated.

Makes far more sense to keep the box separate ala Apple TV. At $99 its not a big deal to replace it in a few years. Or Apple could give the box away when the cloud ecosystem is more mature...
