and, affects all modulation schemes.  I'm chagrined that people might take
this as an oppurtunity to switch the modulation scheme for television.

This can be called "disaster dilletantes."  Imagine a disaster with
plentiful electricity so that people at home can watch Laverne & Shirley.
Disasters mean -- 9/11 an exception -- lack of electricity, and no quick
return of AC power.  In those situations, only fools turn to TVs.  Radios
need less electricity.

Last week, nobody could watch TV in New Orleans, particularly those people
on cable.  Funny, they complained about their cell phones not working and
the number of batteries in the household.
