Neat! I haven't kept up with the "hacking" sites so I missed that one. This begs the question, would you spend more $$$ upgrading a pre-G3 to be able to run OS X and QE, than if you were to get a comparable G4 (not to mention that the G4 will guarantee compatibility whereas the pre-G3 may cause a few headaches)? (I guess this is the whole upgrade vs. "new" problem... I've *never* been able to justify upgrading over buying a new machine -- the advantages a newer machine offers far outweigh the "low" cost of bringing an older computer up to snuff... though, now that HDs and RAM really aren't setting newer computers apart from older ones, the argument for upgrading an older machine may become stronger... I'd say the B&W is the first of this generation of machines (the Beige has the disadvantage of a tiny video card)).
