Well, I've tried the Inbox Repair Tool several times now, and each time =
have
had the same problem. All goes well at first - after the scan, it =
advises
that only minor insistencies were found and repairing is optional. When =
I
click 'repair', the prog locks up every time. BTW - I have 9530 folders =
and
99396 files. Whew!
So, when you say to try creating a new pst and drag my folders there - =
would
this then be a replacement for my current Outlook Today -[Personal =
Folders]?
I'm just wondering the end goal, to get an idea of where I'm heading.

Thanks for trying to help me. I'm sorry it takes me so long to respond =
-
very long hours at my day job.

Take care,
nan

Did we rule out a corrupt pst file yet? Did you try the Inbox Repair =
Tool?
Did you try creating a new pst and dragging your folders from the old =
one
into the new one?

Those are the things you need to try, I think...I really doubt an error =
in
your settings would cause Outlook to freeze and crash and your help =
menus
would give errors. I believe this is more than just a setting.

If you create a brand new empty pst and open that, does Outlook open
quicker? Does your help file work?

And, yes, we have discussed how to get rid of the equal signs in your =
email
here...many times...Greg figured it out and gave us the solution...it's
here:

DL'd ad installed the SP's, rebooted, but no change. I can't help but =
=3D
think I have either done something wrong or have an error in my settings =
=3D
somehow. Or, maybe I just plain don't know what I'm doing. =3D20

I wonder why my msgs are showing that =3D3D20 thing, too. If I could =
stay =3D
at the computer long enough to catch up on everything in this group, I'd
probably know the answer to that, too. =3D20

Thanks bunches,
Nan
