[mso] Re: Sent mail in Outlook 2002 / Archive not functioning?

The good news is that 2003 is nearly limitless. They changed the format of
the PST files...in the way the program stores the info...so I haven't found
any info on limits. And the help files only say that you're just limited by
what your admin sets (assuming you're in an office setting on Exchange).

But they do recommend in 2003, that you can create new PST files to manage
the size of your files...cos' as with any file...if it's huge it'll
open...but it will take some time and then there's always the risk that it
can become corrupt. So they suggest the same stuff I explain in my TechTrax
article. Create PST for various categories and move older stuff out that
way.

Hmmm, that indicates a 16 bit structure on the mail database in every way
yet they're riding on a natural 32 bit counting system. Wonder why they
settled on those metrics. They're so very DOS.<g> In fact, those numbers
very closely follow the limits of a FAT16 File System!

With thinking this clear, is coding really a good idea?"
