I did a little more digging and it looks like the really short contigs arose in
conjunction with using “mira (4.9.5_2) -r” on an assembly that was started with
“mira (4.9.3)”. That is, I was mixing versions. Bastien may have already warned
against this. In which case I apologize for cluttering things up.
