It is messages like this one that make me hesitate to even ask questions on this list. People at least most of us weren't born as Mac users. If we attempt to understand something based upon what we already know, well, that is how human beings learn. I don't feel that those of us who are currently Windows users who are beginning to learn the Mac are well served by this kind of attitude.
