Are you taking in an RSS feed to create the weather or are you having to
hand create a weathercast?

Thanks Gil, the loop button does the trick! As always, I was overthinking
it!

Yes I'm actually looping an rtsp stream from a weather camera and
converting it to rtmp. You can do It two ways. Make sure the loop button is
selected after you stream, or create a command line instance of vlc to open
at start, and use I believe the -loop option to have it loop. I'd have to
look at my command line to make sure it's the loop option. But that is what
I do as it will continually try to reconnect if the stream goes offline.

So as I was looking at VLC, I noticed you can not only re-stream live feeds,
but stream video files and playlists of video files. However, I couldn't
figure out how to loop a playlist or file when streaming. Any ideas?
Reason this is interesting is that you might be able to use VLC (free
program) to playout a simple looping channel and send the transcoded UDP
transport stream to igolgi or other multiplexers that accept IP streams.
Cheap way to do an informercial channel.

In VLC go to the Media menu and down to <Stream>. Use Network to enter your
.m3u8 URL. The wizard guides you to Destination Setup, select UDP and click
ADD button, then enter an IP address and port on your network where igolgi
can access.
(I hate auto spell check, it keeps putting igolgi as Igloo!)

Not sure, but you could do this with vlc. Might want to just try it and see
if it works. It might not pass all the pertaining stream info but would get
you a video signal.

I need to be pointed in right direction. I need to take a video stream, such
as m3u8, and change it to a udp stream acceptable to the Igolgi. Any
thoughts?
