Reason this is interesting is that you might be able to use VLC (free
program) to playout a simple looping channel and send the transcoded UDP
transport stream to igolgi or other multiplexers that accept IP streams.
Cheap way to do an informercial channel.

In VLC go to the Media menu and down to <Stream>. Use Network to enter
your .m3u8 URL. The wizard guides you to Destination Setup, select UDP and
click ADD button, then enter an IP address and port on your network where
igolgi can access.
