Frank -

The chances of there being an SP3 for Win XP has to be very low.  M$ stopped
providing security updates to any non-SP2 patched systems months ago so your
SP1 system is likely to be vulnerable to attack and is unsupported.  If you
are intent on continuing to run WinXP for the foreseeable future, then I
strongly urge you to bite the bullet and get your system up to date ASAP!

The problem with SP2, is that it is at least a year old, that means 
downloading a years worth of updates to bring it up to date.

Like you, mine is SP1, have tried slipstreaming, but somewhere along the 
way, it did not take, and I had an unuseable CD.

Roll on SP3!!
